5 Things You Need To Fund On Kickstarter NOW!

It never occurred to me to search Kickstarter, the world's largest funding platform, for unique gifts until today. Everyone probably knows someone that knows someone who has been blowing up your newsfeed trying to get you to back their annoying project on Kickstarter:

Please go fund my poignant documentary exploring the delicate movement of snails named "Es-car-don't-go."

Because of the giant amount of crap out there, it's easy to want to write off this site-- but don't be so quick just yet! If you are like me and you like to give unique gifts to friends and family, you should definitely consider spending some time browsing the "popular" section on Kickstarter. Below you will find a list of my top 5 favorite Kickstarter projects that you should go fund N-O-W.

1. Bunch O Balloons

Who is it for? Kids or the young at heart

Ever want to show up to a water balloon fight and completely decimate your competition? Err, uh, me neither? Just kidding, I totally have. Bunch O Balloons fills and ties 100 water balloons in less than a minute. That's a lot! Think of all the havoc you could wreak at the next family BBQ!

2.  Sense, Hello

sense, hello

Who is it for? Sleep enthusiasts

Since one third of your life is spent sleeping, it's important it gets the proper attention it deserves. "Sense is a simple system that tracks your sleep behavior, monitors the environment of your bedroom and reinvents the alarm." Best of all--it senses your movements while asleep and will wake you up in between sleep cycles.

3.  Iota

Who is it for? Anyone who owns valuable stuff

Iota is the smallest, longest-lasting GPS tracker in the world. Attach it to your dog, child, bike, car, tupperware, or anything else that's at risk of getting stolen...like your husband.

4. Table Air

Aire Purifier

Who it it for?  Anyone with lungs

Table Air is an efficient remote-controlled air purifier with a stylish design that can be controlled through the Table Air app on your smart phone. Filter reminds you when it's time to change the filter so you'll never have to worry about accidentally inhaling our co-worker's tuna salad sandwich again.

5. Press Fit Standing Desk

standing desk

Who is it for? Anyone with legs and a computer

Press Fit Standing Desk isn't just your run of the mill standing desk--it's made of sustainable materials that have been precisely cut using a computer controlled router. Desk is easy to assemble and is completely biodegradable (perfect if you want to toss it in the compost in a few years.)
