Holidazed and Confused
Anyone else having a hard time getting back into the groove now that the holidays are behind us? I don't know about you but I am going to focus really hard on making 2015 a KICKASS year. Though I am not a fan of resolutions--I am a firm supporter of The Law of Attraction. Below are three things I am putting out into the universe so she knows I mean business:
1. Make ALL the money.
Up until now I have subconsciously associated having money with being older or worse--boring. I never grew up with money--even now, both of my parents work very hard to make a living. I was afraid that having money would alienate me from my upbringing and the core of who I truly was. As I get older, I realize how ridiculous that notion is. Sure, money has the power to change people for the worse, but it would also allow me the freedom to live my life the way I want. I don't want money so I can buy a fancy car or shop. I want money so I can take my hardworking mama on vacation to Greece (she's always wanted to go.) I want money so I don't have to think twice about taking care of the bill when dining with old friends. I want money so I can buy property, save for retirement, not hesitate about choosing organic vs conventional. I want money so I can see more of this beautiful world. MONEY--you are mine!
2. Punch dance my way across the world.
Traveling is such an important part of my life that I often sacrifice spending money on other things (such as eating out or shopping). Check out this blog post to view my stance on "stuff". Seeing the world has always meant more to me than collecting a bunch of junk. That's why I am road tripping to Roswell, NM, Austin, TX, San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, New Orleans, LA, and finally Atlanta, GA starting in one week. I'll be in Hotlanta for a month or so and then I will make my way to NYC, stay there for a week and then fly to Berlin in early March. My good friend and travel enthusiast have made a pact--we have to film a punch dance video in every city we visit this year. At the end of the year, we will compile them into one EPIC video. Stay tuned for that hot mess.
3. Spend more time with people in real life.
Sure I love going out and being around people, but it's not where I get my energy from. In fact, it can be damn near exhausting at times. To refuel, I have to be alone. Subsequently, if I am alone too long I start to feel alienated and anxious. So what is the solution? Balance. I'm convinced that the internet was made for people with introverted tendencies. You have access to the entire world, but you don't have to interact with anyone. It's a blessing and a curse at the same time. This year, however, I have decided that I need to get out and interact with real people more.
What are the things you will be attracting this year? Let me know in the comments below.
